Introduction
Nannochloropsis gaditana is a microalgae of the phylum eustigmatophyceae commonly found in marine environments. This microalga has recently attracted the interest of the scientific community because it accumulates high amounts of neutral lipids in various culturing conditions. These neutral lipids are the substrate for production of oil-based diesel fuel.
